El estudio "Alimentos de España 2024", realizado por Mercasa, muestra un crecimiento del 2,6 % de consumo extra-doméstico de pescados y mariscos en 2023 respecto al año anterior.
El consumo medio extra-doméstico más notable se asocia a los mariscos (4,9 kilos por persona) y, de manera concreta, a langostinos y gambas (1,8 kilos per cápita) y a calamares (1,4 kilos por persona). En términos de consumiciones, los pescados concentran el 56,6% y resulta significativa la participación de salmón (5,2%) y sardinas (2,9%).
